Original 1881 handwritten business letter from Storer Bros. & Co., Dry Goods dealers at 54 & 56 Middle Street, Portland, Maine, addressed to Messrs. Adams & Son. Dated February 16, 1881, the letter acknowledges the receipt of a check on Boston for $175 and a receipt for $177, totaling $350 in remittances for the day. Beautifully penned in ornate 19th-century script and signed by the company. Includes docketing on reverse. A fine example of antique business correspondence and calligraphy from a prominent Portland merchant.
