Large vellum manuscript indenture counterpart [Lease] dated 3rd September 1818 between Philip Barnard and Thomas Warlters both of Fleet Market in the City of London [Upholsterers] of the one part and John Eaton of Fleet Market [Coffee Housekeeper] of the other part.
It relates to that messuage or tenement therefore known by the name or sign of the 'Wheat Sheaf' Alehouse situate and being on the east side of Fleet Market and extending northward partly over the gateway passage leading into the Wheat Sheaf yard in the Parish of Saint Sepulchre in the City of London, in consideration of the sum of £50, and leased for 17 years.
The indenture has the usual age related folds and creases, minor blemishes, fully legible, with one seal and signed.
