This is a cross between Light Sussex hens and New Hampshire Red roosters.
At hatch, the male chicks will be white or yellow in color.
At hatch, the female chicks will be a light red or cinamon color.

With this specific cross, the color difference between male and female is very distinct, which takes all the quess work out ot sexing the chicks.
When using a Rhode Island Red or Production Red rooster chipmunk stripes are often found on male and female chicks, making it more difficult to sex the chicks.
Using a New Hampshire Red rooster eliminates the 'chipmunk stripes' found on sex link crosses using a Rhode Island Red or Production Red rooster.
With most Sex Link chicks the females take the color of the rooster and the males take the color of the hen.
Not all breeds of chickens are able to be sex linked.
Mature hens should lay up to 300 Large to Extra Large Brown eggs per year.

The main reason your shipped hatching eggs may not hatch is due to USPS and other carrier employees that handle your package roughly. Workers do not have a choice because of the production quotas placed on them. Just imagine all the tossing and throwing of your package during shipping. Your eggs have a good chance of becoming scrambled in their journey to you.
Eggs that were 'SCRAMBLED' during shipping may appear to the layman as infertile. This is NOT the case. Educate yourself on how to tell if an egg is fertilized or not.
It is easy to blame me for your lack of hatched chicks, but that is just not going to be the case, EVER!!! I know my eggs are fertile and hatchable because I check them at least once a month.
I keep a 1 to 6 rooster to hen ratio in all my pens and I rotate my roosters on a monthly basis.
