The primary usage of this pump is to fueling vehicle or transferring fuel to gaddy fuel tank.   As  pump operating  it will build pressure up to 44 psi max and it will disable itself.  No bypass is needed as the pump will not damage itself when the oil flow is stopped (usually by a nozzle) The pump is not design for continuous running,  should not be left on for a long period of time, as it will wear down the vanes inside the pump, but it is ok for normal usage.

***This pump cannot handle thicker oils such as vegetable oil, transmission fluid or motor oil. 

*** This pump is not recommended  for use on gasoline. this pump is not anti-explosive.

*** This does NOT include a pre-filter. Using this pump without a pre-filter will shorten its life span due to impurities that may be in the source fuel.
