Here's a LOT OF ONE HUNDRED wire hoods to fit Belgian Beer Bottles  These hoods include the gold plaque and Free Shipping. Keeps corks in place even while pressure builds in the bottle from carbonation.  Tradition says give the wire 5.5 turns to make sure it is secure.  Made in USA. Works with our Belgian beer corks and decorative metal foil 'coiffe' wrappers (not included, see other items).  Available in smaller quantities.

A Muselet (pronounced MUSE LAY) is a wire cage that fits over the cork of a bottle of champagne or Belgian beer to prevent the cork from popping out of the bottle under the pressure of carbonated contents.   The name is French and it comes from museler, to muzzle. The muselet often has a personalized metal cap called a plaque which may be imprinted with the beverage or brewer's logo or emblem.  These little plaques make for an interesting collection.  The cork, plaque and wire hood are normally covered by a metal foil envelope and then twisted with a tool.
