  • These hard and soft Arkansas stones are found only in and around Hot Springs, Ark.
  • Made of novaculite, it is the finest natural abrasive stone available.
  • This listing is for both stones. 1 Hard Arkansas. 1 Soft Arkansas.
  • These stones are high quality 2nds and may have slight imperfections, chips, etc.
  • The hard stone is a tiny bit wider than the soft. Not quite an 1/8" difference. The hard stone also has a few tiny pits on one side. Nothing that will affect the sharpening capability.
  • The soft stone has a minor crack in it running from one end through about 1/3 of the sharpening surface. It is hard to see and may actually be some pitting inside the stone. There are also several tiny nicks on the outside edges of the stone. None of this should affect the sharpening capability.
