This bulb is custom made with a front projection lens, the beam angle is 360 degrees, it has a steel base and an alloy body. One of the brightest bulbs in its class; over 2100 lumens and 6000K on color (bright white). However, it is the front projections that makes it so effective. It's just a better engineered than other bulbs.
This bulb is intended for a 12-volt DC system. It can function as low as 12-volts and as high as 16-volts. It is CRITICAL that your motorcycle has a voltage regulator or rectifier that is fully functioning for this bulb to work properly. AC volts will burn this bulb out in seconds. If your XR or CRF has AC voltage at the headlight many times Honda ran rectified DC 12-volts to the taillight. Check both the headlight and taillight sockets with a voltage meter. Depending on your wiring harness you may have to splice your headlight positive wire into your positive taillight wire or add a voltage AC to DC 12-volt rectifier.
