This is regular weight, good for drums, rattles, snowshoes, chairs and crafts.

Works well for attaching rattle heads to the handle and for lacing the head.

SOAK IN CLEAN CONTAINER:

It is vitally important that the container you soak your rawhide in be completely clean. Any residue from cleaning fluids, dyes, even fruit juices that have dried on your pan or bucket will change the composition of the rawhide. Example: soaking rawhide lace in a pan that has dried residue on it (even if you can't see it) will turn the rawhide lace into rubber bands rendering it useless for anything.

To help you figure how much you will need lengthwise......9 feet is enough to lace a 10 Sweat Lodge Drum.

Each style of drum is traditionally laced differently.

Sweat Lodge Drum is one of the lacing that take the most rawhide lacing.

Soak in cool water (never hot water)

Thicker rawhide requires at least 24 hours soaking.

All my rawhide lacing is hand cut and approximately 1/4" wide,

so please understand that as careful as I am it is not exact like it would be if machine cut,

that's why my lacing is the least expensive on the internet.
